About Our Trainer
Founder and Head Skills Development Coach, Marco Rivera, is well known for his creative training methods and his ability to effectively communicate with students of all ages. Under tutelage of Coach Walter “Gogi” Kramer, Marco has been training student athletes for the past 16 years. As a High School Freshman, Marco was a starter for the Varsity team at Lee High School in 1999. He transferred to Taft High School where he was a three year letterman earning his team first team all-District in his senior year. He accepted an athletic scholarship to play college basketball at Delaware Tech. After his college years, he signed his first professional contract to play for Mexico’s Premier League LNBP and went on to play for eight seasons with three different teams. . Marco averaged 16 points and six assists playing both as point guard and shooting guard. In the off season, Marco would return to South Texas to train student athletes of all ages and skill levels which is where he quickly developed his reputation for transforming players into skilled, well rounded players—and so his true passion took flight. ‘The love of teaching the game’

Coach Marco has been instrumental in the development of back-to-back San Antonio High School Players of the Year (Cole Martinez 2012 now at Corpus Christi A&M), and Leslie Vorphal – 2010 and 2011 now at Tulane University). He is the trainer that even the Pros trust, for over 5 years, Coach Rivera has been the Head Skills Coach for Tony Parker skill clinics as well as several Danny Green shooting camps.
Marco Rivera is known in South Texas as one of the top skills trainer for his ability to teach athlete strong fundamentals along with some of the new- age training that has changed the game over the past ten years.
